Half Day Memphis, & Sakkara

Memphis served as the capital of Upper & Lower Egypt about 5000 years ago during the first dynasty. Menes, the first pharoh of his dynasty, built a great white-walled palace & the Temple of Ptah here. Sakkara: one of the most exciting historical and archeogical area in all of Egypt is Sakkara situated about 12 miles South West of Cairo. The site is dominated by the famous step pyramid of King Zoser. It was the first Pyramid to be built in ancient Egypt, preceding those at Giza by many centuries, & is the work of the famous Pharoanic architect, Imhotep. After the visit of these monuments listed above, there will be a visit to the famous handmade carpet schools, there people will see how carpet art work is produced by hand from scratch this is a very unique method which is still being used by Egyptian given that this art work is a conventional tradition in Egypt, and is still not outdated.
